How scores are made—and what they cannot mean

Every MindTest AI quiz uses the same scoring pipeline—relationship, work, or social themes do not get a different formula. Items are a 5-point Likert scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree (1–5). The option order you see is the scoring order; options are not shuffled.

Some item wordings run opposite to a dimension. Those are reverse-scored as 6 minus your choice, then weighted. Reversal happens only on the server; the question list never tells the browser which items reverse, so you cannot game a “right” answer while taking the quiz.

Each dimension totals its items, then normalizes between that dimension’s minimum and maximum possible scores into 0–100. 50 is the cutoff: at or above the threshold takes the high-end code, otherwise the low-end code. The result type is those codes joined in dimension order. Same quiz version and same answers always produce the same scores and result type—by design.

While you answer, the quiz version is stored. If items or copy change later, old sessions still score with the version from that day. Free-result text also comes from that version’s written profiles; submitting answers does not call a language model.

What scores cannot do

A higher score does not mean healthier, more mature, or a better fit for someone. It only means that on these items you more often chose one end of a dimension. When all axes sit near the middle, that is not “highest and lowest at once”—it means no single direction stands out.

These quizzes are not official MBTI and have no clinical norms. Attachment-style items describe habits of closeness and distance—not disease labels—and cannot diagnose a need for treatment. If you are being harmed, controlled, or your daily functioning is clearly impaired, seek real-world or professional help.

Shared URLs only open the public result-type explainer. That page has neither your item answers nor your scores. Do not publicly post result links that include your answer token.
